Active Shooter at Goose Creek HS and Berkeley High School Suicide: Student killed self, September 11, investigation ongoing

UPDATE: Suicide committed by Berkeley high school student at home, a Facebook post claims. And there is an active shooter at goose Creek high school.

It has confirmed that the suicide DID NOT take place at Berkeley High. It took place at a students home….they are notifying students today. Again, no suicide at the school. More information will be made available.

A tragic incident has occurred at Berkeley High School. The report reaching us, claims that a student of Berkeley High School has died by suicide. Although, at the time of this report there was no complete details regarding the incident.

However, a Facebook post has confirmed the occurrence of the incident, with Jasmine Dingle saying she didn’t send her child to school because of the incident. According to the Facebook post, the incident happened on September 11.

The school authorities are investigating the situation and involving other authorities to arrest the situation. This is a developing story, we will keep you updated with subsequent happenings.

Monday during noon, a Berkeley High student fell from a downtown parking structure and died. In an email sent Monday night, Berkeley High Principal Juan Raygoza informed the teen’s family of his passing and mentioned that counseling will be offered at the school in the days ahead.

“I am devastated to notify you of the incident that resulted in the death of a Berkeley High School student during the hectic lunch hour today. The incident happened just a block away from Berkeley High School,” Raygoza wrote.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with this family and all Berkeley High School community members who may be touched by this loss.” The student was taken to a hospital and declared dead this afternoon, Superintendent Brent Stephens said. “When we lose one of our own students, it’s an impact that we all feel very deeply. We’re reminded of how important every single student who attends every Berkeley school,” Stephens said, calling the student’s death “a nightmare.” A number of students witnessed the incident, which happened around 12:30 p.m., according to Stephens.
