38-Year-Old Eureka Man Pronounced Dead, Another Injured in Vehicle Crash on Highway 37 Near Rexford
A person is dead and another is injured after a vehicle crash on Highway 37 near Rexford Saturday night.
A 38-year-old Eureka man drove a Toyota Tacoma southbound at mile marker 63.3 during icy and snowy road conditions and missed a left-hand curve.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol report, the driver lost control of the vehicle and went off the right side of the road sideways.
The Toyota Tacoma went into the air and then rolled several times before stopping on the passenger side.
Officials say both the driver and the passenger, a 35-year-old Eureka woman, were ejected from the vehicle.
The 38-year-old Eureka man was pronounced dead on scene, and the passenger was transported to Logan Health in Kalispell.
Alcohol and speed are suspected factors in the crash.
The driver and the passenger were not wearing seatbelts during the crash, according to Montana Highway Patrol.
